I received my new legs a week before the 2023 season of the Kentucky Highlander Renaissance Festival. I also received advice from the prosthetic builder (more below video).
“About 50% of double amputees never walk again. Those who do learn have no other choice.”
So I headed to the smithy in KY for two and a half months. There, the porta potty is about 100 feet away from the smithy / booth. My choices were walk or explode. I made the trip day one with help from crutches and a bit of rum.
